What Type of Therapy do you Practice?
My approach to psychotherapy, using relational and psychodynamic therapy, can help you break through barriers and develop meaningful relationships. I offer weekly therapy sessions that integrate a variety of modalities, including somatic and attachment-based practices. How long does each therapy session take?
Generally therapy appointments happen once a week. Our weekly sessions last for 50 minutes, and we understand that sometimes you may need more than one session a week or prefer a 75 minute session instead. We are committed to providing you with personalized care that is tailored to your unique needs and goals.
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
Although fees may change during the duration of a treatment due to unfortunate circumstances, there are no sliding scale spots open at the moment. Please check out our Resources page to find some sliding scale options.
How does therapy work for individuals?
With a weekly cadence, consistency creates the opportunity to sew seeds of awareness. Noticing your habits, your feelings, and your attachment patterns in relationships, change becomes possible to actuate step by step. Small changes make it possible to have a better life and better relationships.
How does therapy work for couples?
Couples often need to rewrite their narrative of what is happening in the relationship, as well as learn to change their assumptions of their partner's intentions. Much of this work includes practicing curiosity, changing communication, and getting to know/ understanding your partner and your relationship patterns on a new level.
Does Integrative Psychotherapy take insurance?
Integrative psychotherapy can create invoices at the end of each month which can include a diagnosis and a session code for out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance company. Check your out-of-network benefits to get an idea of what you can be reimbursed.
How long do people stay in therapy?
This totally depends on the person or the couple and what they are trying to achieve. The basic answer is, as short or long as you want or need, and as short or long as circumstances permit. Generally, people stay from 3 months to 2 years but some people choose to stay longer. Therapy can end at any time and evaluating when is a part of the process.
Is therapy In Person or Remote?
If you are in Denver and would like to come in person to do therapy, you're welcome to. If you are in the state of Colorado, or travel often, you're welcome to do remote therapy. Remote sessions happen over HIIPA compliant video software provided by Integrative Psychotherapy.
How do I know if therapy is working?
Generally, If therapy is working for you, you'll start to notice changes within the first month or so of therapy. Goals are talked about up front so that we can make sure that therapy is helping towards those goals.
